If you thought the incident a few weeks ago, involving the detainment of a woman of Arab/Jewish descent after a flight to Detroit, was a one-off associated with increased fear on 911, apparently you (and I) were wrong. Seems there's been another Stupid Airline Incident:
A Muslim woman is suing Southwest Airlines for being kicked off her flight after a flight attendant reported hearing her say "it's a go" into her phone -- though according to the suit, she was just saying "I've got to go" as the plane was preparing to take off.
Read the rest. It really is as stupid as the first paragraph sounds. Even after the TSA concluded the woman posed no risk (she was speaking with a Verizon rep to activate her phone), she wasn't allowed to fly, since the crew were "uncomfortable" with her on the plane.
I cannot even begin to address this stupidity. I can almost understand a passenger being so ignorant that he or she feels uncomfortable flying with Muslims. Some people do live in caves where the only TV reception is via Fox News.
But a professional member of an airline crew? Would you want to get on a Southwest plane with these bozos? Not me.
From now on I'll make sure I'm not flying on Southwest Airlines, flown by crews of Very Stupid People. That would, after all, make me very "uncomfortable."
