Are you an American living abroad? If so, you can vote from abroad in the Democrats Abroad Global Primary. From February 5-12 we'll be electing 22 delegates to the national convention—we're considered a state for delegate selection purposes. What's more, on a per person basis, your vote may actually count more than if you vote from your home state.
All you have to do is join Democrats Abroad by January 31 in order to vote online or by mail. Alternately, you can show up at your country caucus on February 5 (dates may vary from location to location) and join Democrats Abroad at that time, and cast your vote in person.
Here in London the caucus in February 5 at Porchester Hall, from 6 p.m. There's a caucus in Oxford the next day, February 6, from 1:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Rothermore American Institute. You'll need your passport or proof of citizenship to participate. More info here.
If you live in another country (even a country without a Dems Abroad chapter), you can still vote, in person if your country is holding caucuses, or online or by mail. Find out more here.
For Americans living in remote locations, this is the easiest way to vote. Even for me, voting absentee in my home state—New Mexico—is difficult, due to the sluggishness of the state voting officials. I'll be at the London caucus on February 5, cheering on my candidate.
Look for me there!
