I am leaving for Rome today , yesterday where I hope to eat here and here. They can keep their gelatto, but I definitely want to walk away with some porcinis and some fresh olive oil. I may have room in my suitcase for some prosecco too.

Okay, for some reason this didn't post automatically yesterday.
Just as well, cause I had something more to add. When I was sitting in the airport reading the Times, I read about how several restaurant owners in Rome were busted for serving dormouse, a Roman delicacy.
Yikes! I am being extra careful when I order. "I'd like the dormouse-free menu, please."
Anyway, Rome--Oh. My. God. It's bloody awesome.
And the food--we'll dish later, I promise.
