Do you ever get the feeling, the night before, that you're going to forget your camera the next day while you're on a big adventure? And then the next day, you forget your camera, as if preordained?
Well, that just happened to me, otherwise I'd show you photos of my outing today, to Hampton Court Palace. Mostly built by Cardinal Wolsey, then stolen by Henry VIII, it's a fabulous Tudor-Georgian palace, far more palace-like than dowdy Buckingham. But I forgot my camera, so I can't show you all that.
I actually very carefully put my camera in its bag, then put it in the car, and when I got out of the car to get on the coach, I left it in the car. Along with my camera phone.
Preordained, I tell you.
