I am cleaning out my kitchen cabinets, listening to old CDs, and eating tortilla chips. It's the life, I tell you.
Unfortunately, some of my obsessive compulsive hoarding tendencies are coming to light. I just counted and I have 37 boxes or canisters of tea. That doesn't count the two in my Bird Flu Emergency Box.
I am sick. Sick, I tell you.
I have Assam, Lady Grey, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, about five different varieties of green tea, plain Tetley, decaf and caf. About half are herbal teas, including Stomach Ease and Cold Remedy. I have a drawer full of tea I'd long since forgotten, including some sample sizes of tea.
Maybe there's an herbal tea that cures obsessive compulsive hoarding. I will have to look next time I go to the store.
I also seem to have several varieties of risotto rice.
And when I think of the poor children who have no tea or risotto, I am sick.
Sick, I tell you. (Thank god there's a box of Stomach Comfort in my drawer!)
Someone stop me before I buy tea again.
UPDATE: I've sorted out my tea drawer:
That, plus a corner of my cabinet:This is all I'm keeping, I swear. The rest is going in the trash. I didn't like the plain Tetley anyway.
