At the C of E school down the road this morning children were walking to school wearing play clothes instead of uniforms, so I worked out that there must be a play day or a picnic. I noticed a little girl and her mother each carrying a bottle of wine. Gifts for the teachers? Drinks for the picnic? Koolaid cleverly disguised as Cabernet?
In the States of course people would hide the wine in a brown paper bag.
