I know today's talking points in the liberal blogosphere are to pile on the WaPo again, this time for their editorial which is actually a fine piece of fiction. But I'm wondering just how many people read the editorials in the WaPo.
My husband, who just returned from another trip to the States, commented that every time he enters a public place with a television on, it's usually turned to Fox News. I've noticed the same thing, in hotel breakfast rooms, in gyms, in my father-in-law's living room. The whole world seems to be getting their distorted news from Brit Hume, yet we're running around with our hair on fire because of one editorial in one newspaper read only by people who are obsessed with politics. (And who, it goes without saying, are already entrenched in their partisan views.)
My question for the blogophere is, what can we do to counteract the manipulation of public opinion by Fox News? My method is recipes. Every Wednesday I post a recipe and when people google their way in, looking for "Leak Soup," they get an earful from a nearby post. Maybe someone else could cover the Nascar crowd. Anyone got the results for the Samsung/Radio Shack 500?
