Freedom is on the march. In Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, all over the globe...except in a few isolated spots we can't get to now, like in the United States Capitol.
A mother of a soldier killed in Iraq was arrested shortly before the State of the Union speech by George Bush. Her crime? Wearing a t-shirt. No, it wasn't the fashion police who arrested her. It was the Capitol Police, and her t-shirt read:
"2,245 Dead — How Many More??"
In response, George Bush had this to say:
Every step toward freedom in the world makes our country safer -- so we will act boldly in freedom's cause. Far from being a hopeless dream, the advance of freedom is the great story of our time.
No one can deny the success of freedom, but some men rage and fight against it.
...
We love our freedom, and we will fight to keep it."
Just don't go wearing any t-shirts. We don't love our freedom that much.
