First get your swans in a row, then take their picture.
Still no cows, though I keep peering across the fields looking for a glimpse of them as I drive. Dangerous habit. They must be tucked away in barns for the winter. Apparently they don't make blankets for cows the way they do for horses.
Lacking a recent cow photo, I searched my archived photos for a suitable alternate species to blog about today. It seemed like a good time to post this photo of swans I took several months ago, in Henley-on-Thames. (It was not easy, getting them to pose like that! Like herding cats.)
Henley is a rather posh place. Even the swans seem to have their noses in the air. They have obviously forgot all about that ugly ducking business.
I don't know much more about swans than I knew the other day, so this will have to do for swan blogging.
I cannot wait till the cows come home.
