Mons Meg

Mons Meg

Mons Meg was a gift to James II of Scotland in 1457 (not James II of England), named after the Belgian town of Mons. After spending a bit of time at the Tower of London, she was returned to Scotland, and is now a symbol of Scotland's proud military past.
