I can pretend, can't I?
We've got another storm heading this way, number I've-lost-count since the tabloids went nuts over the "hurricane" in October. Last night there were 100 mph winds in the Isles of Scilly, west of Cornwall. My newly repaired fence is a sitting duck.
I am so ready for Spring, I've decided to start posting random photos of flowers in an effort to fool myself into thinking it's April instead of February. This photo of lilacs was made up the street from here in my nice German neighbour's garden. I've taken several photos of these same lilacs over the years, with different cameras. I've noticed the purple is a different shade depending on which camera I use. Or maybe the shade changes from year to year depending on soil conditions.
I'm not a gardener (I only write about them) nor am I a photographer (but I am the daughter and granddaughter of professional photographers) so I can't say for sure. But I do appreciate a pretty lilac, in any colour.
