A tomb carving at Saqqara, near Cairo.
Ancient Egyptians did not believe in sacred cows, but modern Egyptians do believe in sacred tomb drawings. In fact, during your visit through the tombs at Saqqara you'll be accompanied by a "guide" who will prevent you from taking photos, unless, of course, you make an offering of a few coins.
So for the US equivalent of 20 cents, you can take a photo, like this one of a cow clearly giving birth to a calf. Although I've never seen such an event, I think they got the details right, don't you?
The tombs belonged to high government officials associated with the reign of the king buried in the pyramid at Saqqara, Djoser, of the Third Dynasty of Egypt. They're in remarkable condition, considering they were created around 2600 BC.
