Daughter Number Two came home and finished decorating the tree. She mostly used the snowflake ornaments, of which we have quite a few, as you might imagine.
Our snow has almost all melted, which is a good thing—with no grit or salt on the roads, driving is hazardous, if not impossible. Our car was unable to get up our steep cul-de-sac for days, and Sunday our electricity went out.
It was kind of nice, at least until it started getting cold. Oh, and don't ever place a candle underneath a glass shelf, especially when the indoor temperature is frigid. It will break, and if you've been foolish enough to set a bottle of scented oil on the glass, it will ruin the finish on your bookshelf.
Since we seem to be rather accident prone this holiday, I'll just be glad when it's over.
