Friday Horse Blogging

Horse

A contemplative mare

With all this coverage of the horserace that is politics in America, I thought it was time for some Friday Horse Blogging. We saw this beauty near the Royal Standard of England, reputed to be England's oldest pub. She didn't have an opinion on the race, which is unusual for a horse.

But then she looks like she's got better things to think about.

...she looks like she's got better things to think about...

"Hmmm... Maybe the grass IS greener in the next pasture."

Serge: Good one!

Beautiful! And, I mean, just looking at the pictures you post, seems it never rains in southern Cal... er ... England, does it? I get so jealous of all the nice weather you seem to enjoy :-)

Anke, the truth is it rains a lot--today, in fact, and I put on my wellies and walked when the sun finally came out. But I only post pictures taken when I'm outside in the sun, so it seems like it's sunny all the time!

What gets me is how green the grass always seems to be. All the vegetation gets so uniformly grey around here in the winter, it gets to be a bit depressing.
