When I first started this blog, I intended to write book reviews. That intention went the way of my New Year's resolutions.
Fortunately a friend of mine has stepped into the breach. She's a writer, a voracious reader, and a mom. And now a blogger. Her site is called Julie Loves Books and she reviews a wide variety of genres, but especially women's fiction and kid lit.
I've been waiting to plug her site, to let her get a backlog of reviews. (And I swear, the fact that she very favorably reviewed this blog has nothing to do with my recommendation. But she did give me a lift on a day when I was down.) She's been reading and reviewing one of my favorite series, the Stephanie Plum mysteries by Janet Evanovich. (I can't wait until she gets to the "torture" scene in book nine.)
I guess this gives new meaning to the instruction "bookmark this site", but do it anyway.
