From George Will in WaPo:
"The phrase "values voters," which has become ubiquitous, subtracts from social comity by suggesting that one group has cornered the market on moral seriousness."
"Moral seriousness?" Does this mean that in order to be moral I have to be serious? Okay. I quit. Bring on the pool boys and crack cocaine.
Another enigmatic construct from the same source:
"Liberals favor taxes and other measures to produce a more equal distribution of income. They may value equality indiscriminately, but they vote their values."
Huh? How does one value equality in any way but indiscriminately? (If you're a liberal, I mean. I know Republicans do this all the time.) I can't read the rest of this; someone do it for me and tell me if the world is flat or anything.
Change that order to tequila. I don't want my wits about me anymore.
