We got ripped off when we tried to buy tea, but then everything at Khan el-Khalili market is a rip off for unsuspecting tourists.
They charged us £E45 for 2 cups of tea, an outrageous price for Egypt (you could buy a couple of pizzas for that). We ended up getting it for 40 when we complained that we hadn't ordered the water.
